In this 2nd lesson on finger picking, we’ll go over a more complicated pattern than the initial pattern we learned in part one.

The first pattern we learned looks like this:

1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a, 1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a, ...
T 1 2 1 T 1 2 1, T 1 2 1 T 1 2 1, ...

(if you don’t know what these numbers mean, view the first lesson)

This pattern will be similar, but we’ll bring our 3rd (ring) finger. It looks like this:

1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a, 1 a 2 a 3 a 4 a, ...
T 1 2 1 3 1 2 1, T 1 2 1 3 1 2 1, ...

This pattern fills a whole note while the first pattern fills a half note. As with the first lesson, work on accuracy, fluidity, speed, and changing chords.
