Hey Brian, I want to stop turning pages, What would you recommend for a pedal/tablet combo to do this. I don’t know anything about these pedals so I’m not sure if they are compatible with any tablet or anything.

      Hi David,

Honestly my recommendation is to memorize the songs, ha. I’m probably not the best person to ask this question as I have never used any kind of product like that – I pretty rarely ever use a stand of any kind. I do think there is something out there call ‘Air Turn’ (I’m sure there are others as well). Basically you want something that will do bluetooth to an iOS device.

We use MUSIC STAND at our church. Planning Center Services by Ministry Centered Technologies. You can find it in the App Store ( apple) Nice thing about it is that you can use a footpedal turn the pages electronically. It’s also an advantage because you can change the cords/keys put it on night settings so the light is very low on the stage. You can also send a set list to all the members in your group. We’ve been using it for two years and have not had a problem with it.

Onsong is the bomb! Strictly for iOS though. I use it on my iPad with a bluetooth pedal to scroll up and back

      Hi Brian,

I never had the opportunity to study guitar before, but now I am approaching 50 I can afford to buy a guitar and some time to learn. Last month I was face-to-face with two different teachers, but after seeing your videos what you teach will really help me better. How can I do an online lesson with you? How would you see my guitar fretting? Also, please tell me how much it will cost per hour. I am based in the UK.

I really want to utilise my spare time to develop music skills. I will also need to prepare the questions I need to ask during the lesson.

      Hoping to hear from you.

Brian – I am interested in a subscription service to your chord charts – is that possible?

    • Brian Jan 18, 2016 at 2:21 pm #

Hi Lee – I don’t currently offer this kind of a service, but I’ll definitely look into it in the future.

What pick up do you have in your Martin guitar?

    • Brian Oct 20, 2017 at 9:27 pm #

      It’s an LR Baggs Anthem

Hey Brian, I watch a lot of your covers on You Tube and have done a few of your lessons. I’m really trying to learn how to play the guitar and wanted to be self-taught, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I think I need an instructor, at least to get me going and to make sure I have the fundamentals right. I’m interested in playing praise & worship music, and it would be great to find a local instructor that would teach me that — but I live in NY and, well, there aren’t too many P&W guitar instructors around. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

Hi Joe – have you checked out the Beginner Guitar Course? That could be helpful for you.

I’ve been looking for a Mic which will have the range to accommodate reverb. I have found the basic Shure mics make my voice sound muddy. Like I’ve swallowed a pair of socks. Any suggestions?

    • Brian Oct 20, 2017 at 7:40 pm #

Hi Eugene – most mics will sound muddy before you apply EQ to them. Condensors will sound less muddy than dynamic mics, though. If you’re looking for live use, the Shure Beta58 is hard to beat, and a bit brighter than the typical SM58.

Hi Brian, love your cover songs. I was wondering if you could do some cover songs from Rend Collective, maybe Build your kingdom here, My lighthouse, Every giant will fall.

I am 66 years young and you have helped me greatly with some of the praise songs that I use across the area. I have purchased all of your PADS programs. I use them live in my services. You use the LR Baggs system in your guitar. I am getting ready to purchase a new Martin with this system. Do you like it? Please contact me. Thanks!
