  1. I’ve been the/a volunteer worship leader in a few churches over the last 15 years, and in many ways functioned as a worship pastor but not having the title for the last few of those years. Now it’s different, and I’m aware that there are holes in my functioning as worship pastor that no one in previous leaderships cared to point out, and I wish they had, so that I could grow, instead of just waiting for me to “get there.” Point being, I’m expecting to learn a lot in areas that tend to get neglected in more charismatic churches. I’m also expecting to learn more in how to systematically execute the vision for our worship ministry while both raising up others so I don’t die from exhaustion and still maintain a standard of excellence and character in the process.
